Brian: “What do you want for dinner?”
Me: “Cream of Wheat with tons and tons of fruit on it.”
Brian: “WHAT?!?! Oh, OK, I will go to the store.”
This pregnancy is rocking my world. I am nausous pretty much all day long. My cravings are wild and unpredictable. Meal planning has been really difficult lately because I never know what I can stomach from one day to the next.
Over the weekend, while I waited in the hospital for my nephew to be born, all I wanted was a Panera bagel. I had two. Give me a break. I slept in the hospital waiting room.
Totally worth the wait. Check him out. I am an auntie!
I am seriously married to one of the most understanding and caring men in the world. When I was craving hot cereal, my man immediately headed to the store and bought me three different kinds of Cream of Wheat. Well, when he got home, I put on my health coach hat and looked on the back of the box for the ingredient list and was horrified. Not surprised but I knew I didn’t want to eat it. Check out these ingredients:
Cream of Wheat Cinnabon ingredients: WHEAT FARINA, SUGAR, NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS, CALCIUM CARBONATE, CINNAMON, SALT, GUAR GUM, DEFATTED WHEAT GERM, DRY MOLASSES, XANTHAN GUM, NON-DAIRY CREAMER (PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED SOYBEAN OIL, CORN SYRUP SOLIDS, SODIUM CASEINATE), FERRIC PHOSPHATE (SOURCE OF IRON), CARAMEL COLOR.
Brian kinda had a feeling I wouldn’t want to eat it so he bought me a pack of plain as well. I made my own. Eat your heart out Cinnabon.
Cinnamon and Sugar Creamy Fruity Cereal
