What really pisses you off?
What gets you fired up? What gets your heart beating really fast?
I looked up the term “pissed off” and Urban Dictionary defines it as: 1. Feeling like you can kill everyone in 1000 mile radius. 2. When your eyes bulge out and steam comes out from your ear.
I want to add another. 3. When you can’t NOT do something.
Being pissed off has a lot to do with passion. The difference is how it is handled. Usually when we are mad we react in a negative way. We take it out on our partner. We yell at the kiddos. We eat an entire bag of Oreos. We don’t exercise for weeks.
How can we switch it? How can we find the passion behind the anger?
Our food system in America totally pisses me off. My passion? Helping busy women like you get the courage to get in the kitchen and cook real, rockin food. See the shift? What’s yours? Leave it as a comment below.
Don’t worry. This recipe won’t piss you off.
Easy Peanut Sauce
Ingredients:
5 tablespoons water
4 tablespoons smooth natural peanut butter
1 tablespoon brown rice vinegar
2 teaspoons tamari soy sauce
2 teaspoons honey
2 teaspoons minced ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
Directions:
Whisk water, peanut butter, rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey, ginger and garlic in a small bowl.
NOTE: This sauce can be used in a number of different ways. I used it for a tofu and veggie stir fry and served over brown rice. I poured the sauce in a large saucepan and let the veggies simmer in it for about 20 minutes until they got tender. It would be totally rockin as a dip for chicken strips or lettuce wraps. Get pissed off. Get creative.
