Mama Growth. Out of the Mama Cobwebs.
Ever since I became a mama, the desire for personal growth and betterment grew even stronger. It’s not just me anymore. Someone little depends on me. She looks up to me. More than ever, I want to be healthy and active so I can keep up with her and watch her grow and prosper.
My parents just planted gorgeous landscape all around their home. My house? Not even close. We have patchy grass and weeds. As I watch my mom and Madilyn water the plants and flowers, I was reminded of my own need for growth. Just like plants I need the necessities of sun, water and nutrients. However, I also need creativity, a sense of self, personal time to reflect, my business, my blog, my journal, my photography… oh this list could go on and on.
I always joke that I could stay in school forever. I love learning new things. I have shelves full of books about personal development. I studied psychology in college. I need to learn something new everyday. I crave it.
It is easy to get stuck in the day to day routine. Diapers. Dishes. Same old thing for dinner. Picking up toys. You know the drill. It can become like a broken record. The same thing day in and day out. Sound familiar? I call all this the Mama Cobwebs. It is so easy to get caught in the middle of it all and it feels impossible to get out. It is possible. It can happen.
You need to grow. You need out of the Mama Cobwebs.
