Change, celebration and cherry soup.

The other day I took a long walk with Madilyn. We live pretty close to W&J college so we walked all around the campus. As a graduate of W&J, I got a little teary eyed as we walked reminiscing of the good ol’ college days. Students were outside walking to and from class. Some were already doing homework. Some were drinking and playing Cornhole outside – not a care in the world about their new classes. Gotta love college. Damn do I miss it!
New beginning. I was one of those nerds in college who got so excited when a new semester started. I loved getting the new syllabus. I loved getting all of my materials organized. I loved buying new notebooks. I loved organizing my new dorm room. I loved meeting new people. Now, believe me, this excitement went away a few weeks later when I had 2 papers to write and 3 tests to study for at the same time… but I think you get my point. There is something about new beginnings that get me jazzed up. It is like hitting the refresh button. A new beginning is a chance to do better, to improve, to expand, to grow.

New change. Change can be totally scary. I get it. However, how do we move forward without change? I don’t think it’s possible. Today I started my Busy Women Mealtime Makeover program for the first time. Was this scary? Hell yeah. Was I nervous? Of course. However, the nerves and late nights were totally worth it. I created this. I did it. I reached a goal of mine and it feels damn good. (Interested in joining? It’s not too late! Sign up.)
New celebration. Celebrations are essential. Hey, try something new so you can celebrate when you reach your goal! How am I celebrating my program launch? I am thinking a massage. Oh yeah. A self-care celebration. Plus, as a thank you to all of you, my dear readers, I will be posting 12 makeover-friendly recipes over the month for you to enjoy. The fun starts Sunday so make sure you check back.
You can also celebrate with this easy, delicious and healthy dessert.
